@ Kathy - Here is the plan I used for CIM. It is a 3 month plan starting from the half marathon. I assume you can already run 13 miles so this should be good for you. http://www.alamedated.com/alamedarunners/cim2010.html It is located on the links on the right side of the page. I have a 4 month plan someplace that I will dig up and post.

Hi Ted!
Do you have a training program for a full marathon? I saw you had one for a half. Maybe I will do one in the late spring or early summer 2012. I think I have a pretty good base to start from.

Thanks!

Hi Ted, I met you at the Quarry Turkey run with my husband Danny and mentioned that I read your blog! Good luck at CIM, and look forward to a future post where you report that you achieved your goals and more! Thanks again for the informative blogs - very helpful for this first-time newbie runner! :) I'm considering CIM for my fist-ever marathon sometime next year... not sure yet. For now and the rest of the year I'll be running halfs, I think. Also thinking about a triathlon someday, so looking forward to your posts about that. :) Cheers and good luck again!

I am a long distance runner and have been training for 20 years. Guide 2 made my life miserable just before Seattle Marathon. I had a knee injury in 2009 (just after putting less than 10 miles on my Saucony). I am back to the trailers and have been running with other brands (vibram is my fav). As you mentioned I love to test the different shoes but I hate to throw my money away. So, I decided that I can use my almost-brand new Guide 2 again. I did not even put 6 miles on those pairs to have another injury again. My doctor pointed out the relationship between shoes and the injuries. I emailed Saucony about the issue. They did not take it seriously. This was little bit of a disappointment for me that they did not even want to test to shoes and improve their models. I always share my positive experiences but I think runners know that knees are the weakest junctions and we are all afraid for this kind of injuries. Please be careful with Saucony.
